How To Have A Great Summer
I know you’re going to have a great summer.
In fact, I can promise you’re going to have an amazing, fun and relaxing summer. Do you want to know how I know this?
I’m a mind reader… just kidding. I’m not a mind reader. Although, sometimes I can tell what my children are doing. Especially, when they’re doing something they shouldn’t be doing.
But, after you read this, I’m hoping you decide to commit to making the next few months a positive experience. You have the power, truly, to decide you’re going to have a great summer and then figure out a way to make it happen.
It’s a choice.
You heard me, it’s a decision you can make.
You can actively decide to have the best summer of your life, regardless of what’s going on in your life. You can choose to point your attitude in the direction of positivity and make the most out of each and every day. Even if things in your world aren’t exactly the way you want them to be.
Remember, you always have a choice.
If you can’t change your circumstances, you sure can control how you view them. I promise you, having a positive outlook will allow you to do the best you can with the hand you’ve been dealt. Decide you’re going to wake up, each day, committed to looking at your life through rose colored glasses. Look for the blessings in your life, and then count them. Living with gratitude can be a game changer in terms of helping you move through your life feeling happy.
Whatever you have going on this summer: work, summer school, an illness, three jobs, a fabulous vacation or a stay-cation, I hope you rock a positive attitude. Remember, it doesn’t really matter what your plans are. What’s most important, and what will serve you well, is your attitude about it.
Your outlook.
The way you perceive your situation. Positivity breeds positiviy and negativity does the same thing. If you’re someone who hasn’t been very positive in the past, let it go.
That was then, this is now.
Whatever you did in the past doesn’t have to be repeated. Today, you can decide to be positive.
I encourage you to move forward with a good attitude and the desire to have a great summer. Say the words, “This is going to be a great summer.” Tell yourself this until you believe it. It works, I promise.
What we think, we become.
Time is going to march on. You can spend it sporting a great attitude and commit to making the most of each and every day, or not, the choice is yours.
Either way, the time will pass. Summer will come and go. I don’t know about you, but I want to look back on this summer and have great memories. Memories of me spending time with my family. Moments of us laughing and having fun together. Time spent basking in whatever we had going on. That doesn’t mean my life is perfect or I don’t have challenges. It just means I’m committed to counting my blessings and having a positive attitude about whatever comes my way.
I hope you do the same.
Decide to have the best summer of your life. It’s there for the taking and the choice really is yours.
