Intentional Living

I’m a big believer in intentional living, visualizing what I want to happen and the power of my thoughts.

Whenever I do something, I intentionally think about my desired outcome before I even begin. I actively think about what I want to have happen, or hope will play out, prior to starting something. I’ve learned when I take time to think through something, before rushing into it, I’m more likely to get the results I want.

I do this through visualization, thinking about my desired outcome, and saying positive and affirming statements to help manifest what I want.

You can learn how to live with intention.

It works, I promise.

But, it doesn’t just work for me, it can work for you. You can learn how to live with intention and manifest what you want in your life.

If you’ve never tried setting your intentions, don’t worry, I’ll show you how. Overtime, as you continue to practice this, you will notice your mind automatically gravitating towards setting intentions in all aspects of your life. This will help you manifest what you want.

Let’s say, for example, it’s Sunday evening, and you have a huge presentation to give on Monday morning. Sunday night, as you’re thinking about the next day, instead of just saying, I’ve got to give a huge presentation and I hope it goes well, you could set the intention and say something like:

I intend to deliver my presentation with confidence.

I intend to feel knowledgeable and at ease.

I intend for my audience to respond favorably to what I’m telling them.

As you think about what you want to have happen, and talk to yourself, visualize it taking place. Close your eyes and see yourself getting your desired outcome. In the above example, you would say these phrases to yourself, and then see yourself presenting your talk, being confident, feeling calm and comfortable and getting the desired response from the audience.

When you take the time to set your intention, you’re putting out into the universe what you want to have happen, and because of this, you’re more likely to get it.

I take the time to set my intentions each morning when I wake up, and think about the day ahead. If I’m spending time with friends or family, I set the intention to have positive and meaningful interactions. When I go to the doctor, I set the intention to have a favorable checkup. If I’m working on a project, I set the intention to produce quality work I’m proud of.

It’s easy, free and will have a significant positive impact on your day and life.

This isn’t a bunch of New Age mumbo jumbo. Don’t knock it until you try it. Seriously. Whatever you have going on, whatever you’re dealing with, set the intention to move through it and get to the other side feeling the way you want to feel and achieving your desired outcome.

If this is new to you, be willing to get out of your comfort zone and try it. Like anything new, it might take a little time for you to get comfortable and confident but it’s worth it. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. I’m happy to help you!

Find meaning each day,

Dara
